We’ll start with a classic Tuna Casserole (Yum!), and then I’ll show you how to make the world-famous Cheese Ball. Don’t let the name fool you; this is one tasty dip. Then another classic is next with the Jell-O Mold (with a modern twist).

There are two more recipes you’re guaranteed to love: a Mudslide (grown-ups only!) and Chicken Croquettes, which are a favorite of kids and adults alike.

Retro Recipes: 1950s

This Jell-O Mold is a real crowd-pleaser anytime, but especially if you’re hosting a 1950s-themed party. It’s cool, delicious, and tastes like a creamsicle. How great is that!

This one is a little different than some you may have seen before. Make your orange Jell-O ahead of time and spread it on a sheet tray coated with cooking spray. Once that sets, you’re ready to move to the next step.

Dissolve your gelatin in cold water while the vanilla ice cream melts on the stove top. Mix your hot water, sugar, and gelatin in with the melted ice cream. Combine everything until the gelatin and sugar is dissolved, then pour it into your mold. Cut the prepared Jell-O into cubes, and drop them into your Jell-O mold.

Let the Jell-O chill overnight in the refrigerator. Remove it from the mold and serve this perfect retro dessert. Your grandmother would be proud.
